Macdonald Functions Associated to Complex Reflection Groups
Abstract. Let W be the complex reflection group Sn ⋉ (Z/eZ) n. In the author’s previous paper [S1], Hall-Littlewood functions associated to W were introduced. In the special case where W is a Weyl group of type Bn, they are closely related to Green polynomials of finite classical groups. In this paper, we introduce a two variables version of the above Hall-Littlewood functions, as a generalizat...
متن کاملOn composition of generating functions
In this work we study numbers and polynomials generated by two type of composition of generating functions and get their explicit formulae. Furthermore we state an improvementof the composita formulae's given in [6] and [3], using the new composita formula's we construct a variety of combinatorics identities. This study go alone to dene new family of generalized Bernoulli polynomials which incl...
متن کاملA Subclass of Analytic Functions Associated with Hypergeometric Functions
In the present paper, we have established sufficient conditions for Gaus-sian hypergeometric functions to be in certain subclass of analytic univalent functions in the unit disc $mathcal{U}$. Furthermore, we investigate several mapping properties of Hohlov linear operator for this subclass and also examined an integral operator acting on hypergeometric functions.
متن کاملGreen Functions Associated to Complex Reflection Groups, Ii
Green functions associated to complex reflection groups G(e, 1, n) were discussed in the author’s previous paper. In this paper, we consider the case of complex reflection groups W = G(e, p, n). Schur functions and Hall-Littlewood functions associated to W are introduced, and Green functions are described as the transition matrix between those two symmetric functions. Furthermore, it is shown t...
متن کاملClassical Special Functions and Lie Groups
The classical orthogonal functions of mathematical physics are closely related to Lie groups. Specifically, they are matrix elements of, or basis vectors for, unitary irreducible representations of lowdimensional Lie groups. We illustrate this connection for: The Wigner functions, spherical harmonics, and Legendre polynomials; the Bessel functions; and the Hermite polynomials. These functions a...
